Disposable Kirby filter bag, Kirby vacuum cleaner bags

A Kirby vacuum cleaner bag should be installed before vacuuming.

To remove a used disposable filter bag:

Turn off the unit.
So unplug the unit.
But unzip the outer permanent bag.
So flip up the cardboard tab securing the disposable filter bag and pull the bag away.
Do not use as a vacuum cleaner without the filter bag in place.
Before replacing the disposable filter bag. But you must unplug it from the power outlet. So also check that the motor and fan are stopped.

Before Inserting New Kirby vacuum cleaner bags:

With the outer permanent Kirby outer bag because unzipped. And the top adapter pulled out.Rest the cardboard front panel of the Kirby vacuum cleaner bag against the bottom of the top adapter.

Push the cardboard front panel up. Against the flat surface of the top adapter.
Bend and press the tab at the top of the cardboard front panel onto the top adapter to secure.
Check that the bag support strap is connected through the small hole of the top adapter. And that it is attached over the cam.
Put the Kirby vacuum cleaner bag in the permanent outer bag and close the zipper.

Removing the Kirby outer permanent outer bag and the Kirby mini-Emptor collector

The Kirby mini-Emptor collector holds large, heavy particles that do not reach the Kirby vacuum bag.
Grasp the base of the Mini Em-Tor® collector. Turn it away from the unit and lift it off.
Remove the top of the Kirby permanent outer bag from the unit. By pressing the release button on the bag.
Place the opening of the Kirby mini-Emptor collector over a newspaper. And shake the collector to remove particles.
Reattach the Kirby mini-Emptor collector when you are finished.
Lock the Kirby mini-Emptor collector securely in place. Otherwise, the unit will not work. (It will not turn on).
